I must thank you for your super edit, Bynx! I really appreciate your work here. It's amazing, the blown sky is 'repaired' (I relly would have liked to look over your shoulder when you did...!) and the whole picture is superb now.

Thank's a lot, Bynx - you have been ever so helpful with 2 edits on this picture!!

Appreciations also to Hards80 for following up his critique as other edits developed - good show!

Thank you.

I'm happy now - all is not lost after all...

It looks like I'm in a minority, but I like the original. It gives me a real feeling of being there in the evening.

I quite like Jason's suggestion of a crop too - so I did that - and I also used PS Elements2 to darken the sky at top left and to make the house (or is it a pub? - if not I feel it ought to be) a tad brighter.

Hi Walter,
I'm crazy about this pic. Love the composition and feel. could look at this for ages. Makes me feel really chilled out. The last changed one that Bynx has done has made it sensational. it's one of my fave pics ever. Everyone in a sky rise flat should have one of these on the wall. Beautiful.
regards mark.

Well, thank you Herb!!

I'd stick with the original too, if it weren't for the blown sky! I see you have been editing my picture, and I must say - I like your edit very much.

Even though you have a slight problem with posting the pic. I thought I'd help you with that.

Herb's edit:

Thank you for your interest, your time and your kind words!!

BTW - it's not a pub, just an ordinary home to someone very, very lucky!!

P.S.: I have looked through your own galleries and must say that you have som very special pictures there. I really liked Brentwood Bay and Big File under various. Well done!

Thanks, Walter. Now I'm curious about how you got the picture to display without the need to click on the URL! Incidentally, Big File is just a picture taken in Glendale Gardens (used to be called Horticulture Centre of the Pacific) on Quayle Road in Victoria, B.C.

Very easy, Herb.

First you copy the URL into memory (mark the URL and do Ctrl+c or right-mouse-click and move down to "copy") then you activate / click the picture-icon...

That's this one here:

...which you'll find just above the text-box, here, where you actually write your reply. On the picture-icon it says "Insert Image" when you hover your mouse-pointer og -cursor over it.

Just click it and paste the URL (that you have copied into memory to start with) and click - O.K.

That's all, really - no sweat.

Sweet pictures of your from Victoria B.C. and the Olympic Mountains as well!

Regards from Norway!

What an outstanding pick Walter. The place, the composition, everything.
I like Bynx's version very much and agree with Hard80 about getting the house a little brighter.

Default Thank you, Ordo!

But, which one are you talking of now, Ordo?

We have so many edits now, that I get confused.....

Bynx has made 2 edits of this picture (in #5 or #9), I have made 2 edits (one single-shot in #1 and one HDR in #8) and Herb (#15) has made one.

Which one?
