Default 2 pic's of one motive - which one to use...?

Hello guys and gals!

I really need some help this time. I can't make up my mind which one of the 2 renderings I should use her. I am starting to get together a handfull of shots to enter a photo competition her in Norway, the theme beeing "Landscape" - something I dont want to miss. I'm allowed to enter 3 pictures, and I thought that this should be one of them.

Any thoughts about that? Any objections to send it at all?

Obviously, the photo will be sendt in full size and both sharpness and saturation will be better than can be shown here.

# 1 - This one is done in Photomatix Pro:

# 2 - This one is done in Dynamic-Photo HDR:

The picture was taken early in the morning in September, just as the sun started to lighten up and color the surroundings, hence the many colors on the rocks.

Looking forward to hear your comments!

I voted for #1. The rocks have much more detail, along with added brightness which brings out more of the colors IMO.

Also, I think the foliage in the foreground looks more pleasing as well.

The only thing I like better about the second shot is the "barn/shed" doors. In the first image, the right hand door is a bit bright.

Well done!

I voted #2 but are you sure the picks qualify as "Landscapes"?

How about a third choice? The sky and rocks from 1, the shack and boat from 2 and the weeds in front 100% 1 overlayed with 50% of 2.

Voted for number 2, but number 3 just may be the best of the set.

I picked number two, because it looks more realistic. While number one is quite ok, it's "shown" up by number two.

Default My fault! :o/

Thank you both, Ordo and (simple) Simon for putting my mind at un-rest!

Because of your daubts wheter this picture would fit the description or not, I read the conditions for this competition again, and it really says: "Nature and Environment" and not what I'v been told by a friend - "Landscape"....

So, not only have I mislead yo all, but I'll now have to look for other motives - which shouldn't be too hard, because 99% of my pictures are of nature / seascape, etc.

But anyway, thank you all for participating in this little poll her. I'v learned something anyway.

Thank you for taking your time to poll, to write down your comments and to edit a mix between #1 and #2 (Bynx!).

Much obliged - and my sincere apology to ya all....
