Default Dinosaur

I took this at the museum this past weekend. Any ideas on making it better? I was trying to make it look like I was in the middle of the grass and came across it but the picture looks more like the dinosaur is behind a grass fence.

The darker version works for me because it has reduced the obvious out of focus problems with the original which makes it look more like a toy. Also the darker version seems more foreboding.

I like the darker version as well! It does make it look less like a toy. Thanks!

Bynx - I know I should see this but what out of focus issue causes it to look like a toy? It does look like a toy, just not sure how to get hide that fact.

When shooting small scale objects there is always a short depth of field and most of the scene is out of focus except for the main subject. When shooting normal sized objects the distance from them allows for a greater depth of field. This is why the darker scene reduces the obvious focus problems and gives more realism to the dinosaur. The setup you have created here is really quite good. There is nothing to reference for actual size of objects.
