Nature can be, at the same time, amazing, beautiful and terrifying.
I see why she named the pick Floral Inferno.

thats a lovely picture indeed. nice colors and interesting perspective.

personal taste thing- i could do without the vignette on a shot like this.

I have to disagree regarding the vignette. If it wasnt there then the pic would just seem like a cropped image and I would resent not seeing what was missing since what I see is so gorgeous. The darkened vignette indicates to me that what we see is it. If we saw any more it would be in darkness and not visible so Im not missing anything at all. Just the way I feel about it. I think this pic is amazing because of the complexity of both the lines and colors. Real busy pic for just being the head of a flower. It sounds so simple when I say that but when I look at it I feel I could write paragraphs.

Lovely photo... I think the colours are superb. I love seeing detail at macro level like this.

The vignetting probably does work for me, but maybe just a bit too much at the tip of that 'yellow' thing (coming from the centre of the flower).... so maybe if that could be repositioned might be slightly more favourable... but I'm splitting hairs here.

Thanks for sharing her photo... and taken with the same camera I have... cool.
