Default Tiger about to launch!

I submitted this photo of a "Tiger about to launch", to the "Photo of the Day" contest but it wasn't good enough.
So tell, me what is wrong with this picture? Nitpik it. Thanks!

Hi Jack, not having a clue about how POD works, do you get told that it isn't good enough or just that it hasn't been used? If you were told was anything said by the judges?

I wasn't told anything... I submitted it two days ago and it wasn't selected. I figured they picked one for the day, as it said "Photo of the Day".
I called it "Uh Oh!"

I think there are so many that they don't get picked that quickly, if you want to know more about the process I would post in Contact Steve's and JimC will give more insight. There might be something on the rules section of the POD site too.

I had just figured it wasn't good enough, so I was just asking to have the picture Critiqued and see where I could improve it.
I wasn't really expecting it to be picked as there are hundreds submitted. But you can hope... right.

It's a very fine shot in any event. One you should be proud of...a real wall-hanger.

Good questions Ive always wondered about. There doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason for what they pick as POTD. Sometimes the pics are so good I made a thread and comment on it. Other times I shake my head and think WTF. As for your tiger shot, I would have probably made a comment about it. Its definately an exceptional shot. I wonder who judges the pics and what they base their choice on.

This seems to me a wise montage. And tiger is not attacking but scared as hell.
And we’re here for free. Can't see what's your problem.
