Default Hot Air Balloons before and after

Shot from a long way off at full zoom on a hazy, lazy July evening in NJ. Canon sd800is.
The second one is only re sized. The first re sized and tweeked with MS office picture editor.

to be honest you just didn't have much to work with here. the detail is lost in the noise and the exposure is very dull and flat. the composition is a little messy too.

I agree with Dustin, however there is the possibility to add a more interesting background (this is a quick and dirty edit to show you what I mean).
