i actually prefer the original as well. this shot is interesting because of the context, and i think this context is conveyed greater on the original. i like it, nicely done.

Ditto on the original. FWIW, I appreciate the added context of seeing both the cityscape and more of the mountains farther in the distance.

A fantastic origional picture. The setting is fantastic. Looks like the old world looking into the new. If I were to crop I think I would take some of the field and a little of the sky above the mountains, but keep the mountains. This gives a feeling of dimension adding depth.
