I like this image as well. Who you planning to knock off?

Surely no one on this board?

(The transition between the cards and the background could be handled better - Such is my critique.)

Eh. I just messed around in Lightroom until I got something I liked. Trial and error Not trying to copy anyone
I spent a while reading up on composition, is there anything I can be doing better?

Oh and here's the original...my desk lamp is weird:

Your shot is original. No intention on my part to say they you are plagerizing..

I like your modified version better than your original. I am simply pointing out that the transition is "rough," and I see that in the original the transition is "smooth."

Oh i see. Haha so thats why my friend told me to put ace of spades!!! Lol where have i been.

nothingrare i really like this shot so simple but an excellent idea you did right coneverting it to BW and i also understand why you like this shot .... as i do aswell there are so many ways you can edit this shot and they all look great
