Default In or out?

The same view, one zoomed, one not, which, if any, works best?
It was taken right after day break, the shadows still very prevalent.

The first by a long way is a much more interesting shot. However my eye wants more, what is to the right? If there is more nice water and trees/reflections then a pano could be in order.

The tree line tapers down to a point, then its all water. I have some shots archived, showing the whole pano. It was from another day, more gray if I remember, I'll try and find it to get you a "lay of the land"

i agree with mark here.

easily the first shot, but i also was left wanting more to the right. and maybe not so closely framed on the left either.
