Default Have I gone too far with editing?

Recently, i have been editing some point and shoot style photos that i had taken on vacation. I was seeing if i could do anything positive with them.

1. original:

2. Edited version:

5. Original:

6. Edited version:

I was wondering what you all think of these, and if i have gone too far with the editing? Any CC is very much welcome.

I like the story in #5, not the edit. But remember:

Please only post one shot per thread for critique so we can focus in on your work rather than trying to talk about a set of photos. A great way to use these forums is post a set of images in a genre or camera make forum, and choose single photos from this set that you want extra feedback on for sharing in the Photo Critiques forum.

its ok to post 2 pictures that are similar or different processing of same image if there is reason for us to be comparing.

i actually prefer the unedited versions of both.

but i don't really care much for #1 either way.

#5 the original is pretty ok if you were aiming to draw parallels between the stuffed dog and the real dog in the background. its a little closely framed for my tastes too, epecially to the right. i think had you framed it a little less closely and maybe changed the angle a bit to play up the contrast between the stuffed vs real dog, maybe that would work.
