Nice r1, interesting way of relaxing on the bike. I would fall off if I tried to do that on my bike.

It looks a tad over exposed where your girls arm is. You may want to set it to -1/3 ev

i also would like to see her face too. get some eye contact, if you can have her turn towards you perhaps.

Also I would stop down the lens to f7.1 or 8, the kit lens is sharpest in that range.

This is poorly cropped, cutting the front wheel.
And the chick's in a forced pose and secondary to the bike.
What do you wanna show? A nice bike? A sexy girl? Both?

actually she was just laying on the bike after 5 hours of riding so i took the pic with out her really knowing.

not really worried about cropping that is easy to correct i was looking more getting it sharper and the exposure better but thanks i didnt really notice the wheel being cut off a bit. i will make sure to get it all in there next time, i have a few of her just standing next to the bike that might have been better to show.

For sharpness, stop down to f7-12 that is the kit lens's sweet spot, a friend of mine had the d5000. And that is where the lenses is best.

If you check your histogram, you should show you that it was a bit overexpose. The histogram is a great tool exposure. It really is not used enough I think or understood.

i will have to learn how to use the histogram. i also thought her face was to bright i thought going down on the exposure would darken the bike to much.

what mode did you shoot in Aperture, shutter or program.

Normally the easiest way to darken a shot with a dslr is to use the EV setting. -EV darkens +EV lightens.
