Default Flood Gate-Orton

Been trying to figure out Orton...I use NX2 so no layers just fiddling with Levels& Curves and other settings. Do I need more blur....less blur... and how about saturation

I think a little more saturation on the water and the fence but I like the level of blur, im sure that the blur level is down to taste but I think this one is pretty much on the money!

it actually mimics the orton effect pretty well for not having access to layers. i might tone down the greens just a bit. it almost contrasts with the water a little too much. however, it is a pleasing scene and the pp is great for your first attempt.

Thanks for taking time to do a second look. Now I at least know I'm on the right track with the steps in NX2 to do Orton....now to practice, practice and more practice.
