Please let me know how this attempt at the Orton effect strikes you.

Like the first one best of the two. To me it just looks like it was shot with a soft focus filter. Is that what you you going for in the shot? The soft focus gives it a soft and gentle feeling to the picture.

I'm back! A virus killed my computer, and it took quite a while to get back. Anyway, here's another attempt at the Orton effect with a less-blurry out of focus layer.

The last one I like. Im not a big orton fan or any other procedure that screws up the image.

I'm a fan of Orton, and i'm using the effect a lot these days, and with a lot of different Orton techniques, but this pick is way too much blurred and eye confusing. Again i ask you to post the original pick. May be the problem is there.

Thats what i thought. The original looks already blurred. It's a pitty cause the subject is perfect for the Orton effect.

the problem is that it has been uploaded to the forum .... repost the images via imageshack there will be a difference i uploaded a image the same wy the other day i deleted it soon after and hosted it elsewhere
