Eddie check out a piece of software called Helicon Focus. Its similar to the way Photomatix treats its photos. You shoot with camera on tripod a series of shots with only the focus changing. Helicon will then put the shots together so your final shot will be all in focus. Its amazing how it works. Google Helicon Focus and there are some animations showing how it works.
