Default Not so large, this time.

Sorry about my previously uploaded photo. I had assumed that ImageShack would have automatically adjusted the photo for me.

At any rate, here is a more properly sized photo; a scene shot that was taken on our mini vacation, in Lake Placid, NY. I'd like to gets thoughts on it. I had given the photo a treatment in my DPHdr program, which brought out a lot of color & detail. However, the uploading process seemed to strip some of that from the photo.

wonderful scene.

I would not have known it was HDR if you didn't tell me. I dont know if thats good or bad. Colors seem a bit "cold"? Possibly a slight hue change?

as far as the uploading changing the color and detail, it does appear to be a bit soft, but i have never heard of uploading changing the colors of a photo..

just my 2 cents, have a good 4th of july!

I like this scene a lot. Nice difference between the forground and smoky hills in the background. Nice pp work here.

Yes, I suppose that I could have warmed the photo up, a bit. But the photo is actually a bit warmer than it appears here. I don't recall ever having a photo to lose its character, before, upon uploading to this site (or any site, for that matter). Not only are the colors less vibrant, but the sharpness isn't what it was, either.

I also wonder, now, if maybe I should have re-sized the photo first - and then did the post-processing on the photos. Maybe I will try that next time. But thanks.

I like the scene also, a pretty one and the HDR looks quite natural. I've seen where uploading to certain sites do compress things and that can affect both the sharpness and the color on occasion, and green is one of the colors I've had trouble with, orange is another.
