Doesnt seem to be much order in the stems since they are all growing in the same direction.

Absolutely. That one works perfectly for this shape. Now the colors and style look like an Andrew Wyeth. Id even consider hanging your version Simon. Its a nice detail of something found in the kitchen cupboard.

Whoa now! I think I'm being converted to liking HDR effects. Simple, you turned an ordinary image into something great! The seeds stand out like they're embossed.

hi frank this isnt hdr ..... although i did raise the range a little it was mostly done with a topaz plugin
