Default View at the Pier

A very subtle view of Mokoli'i Island (Chinaman's Hat Island) in the background. Would appreciate any comments.

Very nice. I guess that if you clone the island the pick would be even more interesting.

Thanks for the look Ordo. I'm actually shooting the island from several different views, some being the central subject, others included in the background - just a side project.

Which is the island in this case, the land mass on the or the dark mass on the horizon?

For me the green land on the left distracts from an other wise clean image so think it would be better with an angle that doesn't show it or one that shows more of it.

Mark,

The island (called Chinaman's Hat) is the mass shaped like a hat on the horizon.

You are right regarding the green portion at the left. This was shot at a boat slip when the boat was out (between boats) - I will try again. Thanks for the comment.

I'll also be back at the pier at night next week, hopefully to get some shots of the filming for the next chapter of the Pirates of the Carribean which is currently being filmed at several spots around Oahu.

I really like the 'mood' of this photo, so listening to the other comments I tried this. Hope you don't mind?
Just a crop and a little contrast.

Scouse,
I don't mind at all. Any comment and help is appreciated, thanks!
I will try again - only hang-up is being there when this boat is out, which is quite rare.
