Default Backlighting.....

Or, how Bynx likes to lite up ugly models for his naughty book covers

OK, if I must get serious.....
It is always a challenge to me to capture back-lighting without blow-outs or flares.....but I absolutely love the effects it can bring to an otherwise "just another flower" snapshot.
Your thoughts greatly appreciated on this one!

I would like to either see more light coming through more area, or a touch of fill flash to bring up the shadow area more without losing that beautiful light that is shining through now. As is, I think the light on the yellow center part makes the shot to me. I really like the petal details the light also brings out.

Thanks buddy. I did this shot on the fly, hand held, with my new HS10...I ain't even fired the flash yet, but I see your point. I could never have gotten this without a pod with the S700.
This guy will keep me busy fer a spell......one thing different is all the buttons (controls). It is easy to accidentally push them, as they are quite exposed, but overall, it is quite an improvement, tho heavy. I could hold that S700 with my mustache
