I like your 2nd attempt as well. I haven't seen those falls for about 50 years. Forgot how nice they are.

PS: I was born in Crystal Falls and spent my 1st 17 years in the UP !

You must still be a yooper at heart then, eh? You can't just turn into a "fib" after spending the first 17 years of your life in the UP.

It's been 22 years since I've been there. I learned my lesson about spending 9 months of winter in those 17 yrs. The only thing I miss is the woods and October bird hunting.

Excellent Eddie. Its not a photo any more. But I really like the artistic quality of the image. All you have to do is address that lousy sky and you got a real winner.

I like your take too eddie, is that topaz clean? If so, I ran mine through clean too, just not to that extent. The only thing about this version, as bynx points out, is it loses it's realism, but it does give it a nice surreal look.

I used PS Elements 4 with a heavy hand on saturation, high lights and mid-tones, then a run through silkypix to remove the artifacts. How bout what it'll look like under a full moon

I think I prefer the crop Eddie. The moonlight atmosphere is ok, but the mist is gone. I think this spot to shoot is perfect and would be great to do the 4 seasons from.
