Default Forest Stump....

Trying to get some color and contrast on this handheld taken in the cover of the trees. It was damp and overcast, when the sun penetrated the clouds and forest canopy for a few seconds. I had camera in hand, and got off this shot, but before I could really set up the camera, the sun light faded.
Love to hear your take on this, and suggestions as to how I can get more from these scenes on dark days. It really is beautiful to the nekked eye, but getting it down in the camera to share is tuff 4 me.
If you'd like to see the accompany pictures, to get a better idea of the surrounds and conditions, look here: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/fu...y-stumped.html THANKS!!

I like the second one, it looks like something in a fairy tale.

I think the overall darkness of the original gives it a more dramatic effect.

Forest Stump, hey? "Life is like a box of mushrooms." ???
