Default critic..

I was trying to take another pic of some flowers against the green leaves and this wasp was in the pic, no problem just include it I thought. not a split sec after I took the pic and the bug THREW something at me as he flew off. I don;t know what it was but it took me a while to get it off the lens. DANG CRITIC.... Keep? or Bug off....Personally if it wasn't for the bug adventure I'd say can it...

As a photo Id say 3 out of 10. As for an alteration to a piece of artwork with Topaz 7 or 8. As a memory to just keep on file...10.

I like it a lot more than Bynx did. It would be nice if it were possible to get the wasp in focus along with the flower, but there's only so much one can do with macro DOF. I think the wasp adds significant interest to the photo, even in less than perfect focus. While you can try some selective sharpening, I have never had much luck with that sort of thing. Anyway, I would give it a 7 or 8 out of 10 as it stands.

Well IF the wasp was in focus, and IF the green leaves were more realistic looking and sharper in detail and IF there wasnt a band of dark outlining the red flowers and IF the flowers had a more 3D look to the image and IF there was less noise, then sure, Id give it a 8 or 9. But Im not looking at IF. Im just grading it on what I do see.

Yay ~or~ Nay...?

The picture by itself, Nay...

The picture along with the story, Yay...

I think the Wasp spit at you... He even seems to have an angry expression
as he looks at you... I think it's a great and humorus story...

Don't take it personal, I'm warped that way...

Story yes, image no.
Its quite a bit soft with nothing clearly in focus.

I guess some wasps, as well as people, really, really, don't like having their picture taken.

I am still laughing at Bynx's second comment thats so true dude. Thanks everyone for your support but as you can tell I really have no photos to share yet, just trying to get an idea of how the whole photog field works. Everything I have posted so far is from an older olympus P/S camera I had before I got a REAL camera, which is STILL in the shop, with no word as of late on its status. I have been digging at the bottom of the barrel for something to post so I could participate. I do apperciate each and every opinion you guys post as I can only learn from what you tell me.
Brian, I think you are right, as I am not sure it was the friendliest of insects, and Wizzard, when you say it spit at me are you sure you spelled that right LOL.
I really like reading your post through out these threads as I can see your personalities through your writing, and am becomming fans of you all!
