Default Norwegian coast in December

Hi folks!

It has been a long time, since I have been in her, so I thought I give it a shot...

This is a picture I took yesterday morning, before the sun was out, and it was gruelling cold (minus 14 C) when I stood there for almost 3 hours. But I consider this a good catch, and I still have hundreds of pictures to PP yet.

Nikon D300s + Tokina 11-16 @ 11mm // f 9.0 @ 1/1.3sec and ISO 200 // This is a panorama of 2 pictures stitched together - that's why the horison is slightly crooked (11mm lens...).

For those of you, who don't have this much screen resolution - the big one is 1270 x 624 pixels - there is a smaller copy below:

For those who would like to se more of this dismal coast (you have been warned...!), there are some more shots in the Landscape-forum: http://forums.steves-digicams.com/la...-into-day.html

Thanks, and take care!

You may look up my small portfolio on the Norwegian photo-forum: http://walter_s.foto.no/ - click - "LATEST" on left bottom of page.
You may then click any thumbnail to view the picture and click again on the displayed picture for an unobstructed full screen view. Enjoy!

Wow. That's beautiful! Frigid, but beautiful. Well done, Walter and welcome back.

Good to have you back around, your dedication to getting a shot in really cold conditions impresses me.

Walter,
I feel for you in the cold, but it seems to be worth it for such an exceptional shot. By the way, the people from Norway must have been some tremendous boat builders if this is an example of where they had to put in after a long day at sea.. Happy Holidays thanks for sharing... Frank

Love the pic! Nice colors in the sky, and a nice reflection in the water with a good foreground with the stones close and the camera set near the ground =)
