Default 3 icon photos of Sydney, differently renderd.

I tried to quickly render a couple of pics from Sydney. Since I'm out travelling i have very limited time to just sit down, pic out the best pics and render them.

Well here is 3 pics with a lite different editing then what I usually do. What do you think?

The first pic is of the sydney harbour bridge, the second one of the opera house, and the third one is st mary cathedral.

Well Istvan, I will give you my honest opinion. I have a hard time accepting the first one as it kind of hurts my eyes. It seems to have too much contrast or something for me. Maybe I am just tired and my eyes are hurting, but I do like the way the clouds are rendered to look like they are iminating from the bridge.
The Opera house looks a little stark and harsh in this rendering also. I do however like it that you somehow shot it with out a huge amount of people milling around, The view from the steps is a good composure and I don't get to see it from this angle very much so good job on that.
the Cathedral looks really stately from this viewpoint. Again I am a fan of b/w photography so this is to my taste. The sky above it looks like it is boiling right out of the top! Cool.
Have a safe journey, and a happy holiday season. Thanks for posting. Frank

I like 2 & 3, but not too keen on the first one. I think it might be because of the halo effect around the bridge. I'm not a halo nazi like some. I'm usually ok with a small amount of halo, but I think it's just to much for that shot. I think it gives the bridge too much contrast. Looking at the bridge and buildings below it, pretty much all I see is black against white and no shades between.

Thank you very much guys for your honest and specific comments! This will make me think a couple of times extra when I finally render the pics at home with plenty of time and a good screen. UnfortUnatly the 13" lcd on the laptop isnt the best to fix the pictures with, especialy when your in different enviroments all the time

I can actually see it much better now on my ipad

Thanks again, and merry christmas to you all!

Best regards, Istvan
