Many elements working into this shot but does it work?

"Luke, I am your father."

Yes, I know that's not the correct quote, but it's what popped into my head when I saw the foto.

As a self-portrait, by the rules, this doesn't count. I don't see any "you" in it.

Calling this a self portrait would be like me shooting a Dogwood tree and calling it a Great Dane. Very very very obscure.

Thanks for your critique, I thought it was pushing it as a portrait, but it was intended to be just that when the shot was taken.

ItDontMeanAThing - I believe you are right "Luke, I am your father", sounds like how I remember it.

Frank, my camera looks about twice as big as normal in the reflection. It is hard to make out someone but thats me with a baseball hat on.

I guess I'll try that one again someday.

ah the shadow on the picture begins to take shape once you said that it's you with a baseball cap on + the camera. hahaha. i was trying to figure that out because your profile is cleverly hidden amidst the the rusty textures and the cracks on the surface.
