sorry for not elaborating before. What i was trying to convey by "cooked" was that i thought the processing was like an overdone HDR. The colors are very harsh and in your face and the blacks are piercing.

And while i understand the blue hue to the photo, i dont find it necessary.

I do like the original better than the edited one. Although i do still believe the the original needs 'something'... The actual shot is a great capture but i just think going in a different direction with the PP is something i was prefer.

i dont mean to be harsh, but it's the only way of explaining what i was thinking.

Sugar coating is both difficult to do and a waste of time. Better speak your mind and explain it better. Thanks Eric. You have the original jpeg now, why not have a go at it and see what you can do with it?

ORIGINAL:

MY VERSION:

I know the blue can convey coldness (temperature), but in this case i dont think it was necessary.

i like the sky in your version erwheeler. one thing i find annoying about topaz is that they create this painterly like effect with skies. they're great at rendering structures in hdr but with skies and clouds, they tend to make it look artificial. i always mask them at 70% opacity just so i could get the saturation and yet maintain the grain of the original.

Great shot! I like the blue of the original image.
Hate to say this but we just had a spell of cold weather with lows in the mid 60's (F).

The mid 60's. Oh how terrible for you. I suppose you have to wear longer bathing suits to keep warm.

I like the shot - looks great! One note though - the GO Train runs on a schedule, couldn't you have timed your arrival a little better and avoided the hour in the cold?
