Streets - I changed it into B&W but was a bit disappointed, so I tried it as sepia - and (to me) it looks better in sepia than in B&W.

But Ordo's original version still appeals to me most - I think it's great.

Perhaps bringing in just a bit of a blue hue back into the water would help. That way, both the sky and the sea would be 'talking' with each other. Otherwise, I really like the calmness of the photo. Sometimes 'quiet' says a lot ....

Hi Ordo

This photo has some interesting elements to me. When I first looked at the photo I felt yes, the horizon is too central, and applying the 'guideline of thirds' would probably work better in this instance (I don't believe it should be called a 'rule').

However at the same time, the blue sky and the ripples / small waves in the foreground add enough interest to an otherwise 'calming photo' to make it something that did feel strangely soothing and yet not bland.

Maybe a bit more practice and some minor changes in a try next time could come up with an even better outcome. I agree, it could be a good 'relaxing' computer desktop background.

Thanks for sharing.

Paul
