sb 400 couple shot

i went to a wedding yesterday as my wife was a bridesmaid , i took my camera but only took a handful of shots due to having my son in tow i had one or two beers to say the least :D anyway as the night was coming to i shot off to get my camera i picked my sb400 flash up instead of the sb800 by mistake (a little tipsy) anyway took this portrait shot of the bride and groom ...... quite impressed how the little sb 400 results turned out untouched photo just resized for the forum . what you think ? skin tones look ok? i will be doing some pp on it later of coarse

Looks a little dark to me...and the groom needs a shave:D

I have to agree on both points. There's just too much contrast - too much darkness in the eyes and side of the face. On the plus side, the skintones look good and there's good IQ.

thanks guys .... i will add a little fill flash to brighten the picture ;)

The shot is a bit too sharp for a portrait. A little softening will help.

softening ... can do ;) what about this one?

got to try something for th background too?
