First, let me say that's a great capture and I'd be thrilled if it was
mine...

Using a free simple image tweaker called FastStone I just did the
tiniest of changes...

Original:

Small tweaks with FastStone:

Right click each image and save them to a new folder on your desktop,
then right click on one of them and choose "Preview"... Then you can use
the forward/backward button at the bottom to flip between and see the small
differences...

Keep in mind all I've got to work with is the web image that I grabbed
which has a lot less information than the original image file will have...

I didn't want to change the Lizard and make him stand out too much
because his blending in is the whole point of the scene, but I did want
him and the whole scene to "Pop" just a tiny bit more...

JMHO, you're the artist and how you want it is the whole point...

What I changed using FastStone... These numbers would probably be
much different working with the original full size file...

Contrast: +6 points
Saturation: +20 points
Sharpness: +3 points

If you want to try it you can get FastStone here:

FastStone Image Viewer 4.3
http://www.faststone.org/

Hope that helps you in some way...

Edit:
I did that with the previous version (4.2) but just downloaded the new
version (4.3) and it's got even more options like Curves and USM... You
can also download the tutorial there on the download page...

Great image, definitely like the v2 crop better.
The colors are a tad flat, due to the desert and the lizard all trying to look like each other.
Maybe a little creative PS to boost up and seperate the lizard from the background a bit ?
(Which I see NHL already did in his verson )

Sorry I did not thank you earlier as I haven't been to the forum for nearly 3 months now.
Your editing is absolutely brilliant!
You mind sharing what did you use on OnOne?
I have recentlly purchased OnOne plugin for my CS5, so anything that you've done specifically with it will be of great help.
Thank you for sharing the edited pic.
