Default Finally flowers add some color to the season.

Hi all, here's my first post and photo submission. Now that some things are blooming I'm practicing with the macro mode on my SX130. Please let me know what you think, I'm rather happy with this shot.

I have a version of it available here https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/phot...eat=directlink before the size was reduced for the forum if thats preferred.

Hi There Setzer - the clarity and those colours are just fab, really lovely shot. I'd be tempted to crop a wee bit around the edges, but as I say, really lovely. Looking forward to seeing more shots from you.

Thanks for the feedback! I assume its appropriate to post alterations based on your suggestions in the same thread?

Here's a tighter cropped version of the pic. I cropped it from the already slightly cropped and quality reduced file from before to save time...so the compression is showing...but I was more interested in experimenting with the crop.

Really lovely cropped down like that and I dont think there is much quality loss. The colours and sharpness are still as stunning as before.

Great shot! There's a lot of background but you successfully separated the subject, giving a wonderful context to the shot.
