Andy, I wanted some of the sky in the frame to get that flying mood. I did try with different levels of crop, this worked best for me. But that's just me.

I wouldn't do anything more with it.

I often find that selective sharpening of eyes, beak and feet can
improve BIF shots. As your photo is already very sharp and clear,
I don't see the need for any improvements.

nice capture. i think the bird is too much in the center and should be placed more to the right to have lead room on where it is flying. To me it looks like it is too sharpened and saturated. In the clouds above it looks like compression or maybe it just is how the clouds look due to haze?
