Default Contemplation

Okay, the photo itself was actually just a candid shot while playing around with my new 70-300 DO IS around the house, but I thought I'd try a little 'shopping and see how it turned out. I'm new to this, so I won't say show no mercy, but it's all a learning experience, right?

not bad, but i would have liked to see a slightly different angle.
More from the front of the dog, more facial expression (and yes,
i realize that the hair covers most of it).

Thanks for the comment. I think I was actually pretty lucky to get this shot as it is. He's a pretty active little dog, and doesn't sit still for long. In the low light that was available, I'm surprised he didn't move any and blurry it up.

Of course it's not going to be perfect when you're just experimenting, but you have to see the humor in the fact that you can't see any eyes or nose. I like that about it!
