I think you did a GREAT job and if I may say, I think that the above poster finds it a little distracting and I think it's the color that throws it off a bit, the guitar player's Strat blends in nicely while the Fender bass is maybe a little bit over saturated or just not enough room for the whole band on this shot yet as far as it being the WHOLE band, the drummer isn't there...lol. All in all you did a great job IMHO and what matters is that your lady likes it

I hope not for the same reason Spinal Tap kept needing new drummers.

Agreed both about the distraction and what matters is your finance's opinion.

I can't picture in my mind's eye if the distraction I see from the bassist is his red bass or if it's the red bass against the forearm. Do you have a different photo of the singer such that you can position the two other band members against the dark of the background or the singer's shirt?

I don't see EXIF data. Was the photo of the singer originally in color? If so this composition might work well with him in color and the band mates in b&w.

I have to go along with the others and say the guitarist is distracting, I have no trouble with the the bass player where he is.

I hope you don't mind me taking liberties with your picture, by making the guitarist left handed the result to me looks more balanced and not so distracting.
