Default Star Wars: Luke Skywalker

Standard action figure size. I shot this figure in my studio against a blue lit background using a combination of studio lights, reflectors and a pocket flash light. I choose to make the final image like a postcard or something that might appear in a magazine. Let me know what you think.

Interesting Rembrandt lighting on a static object.

out of focus, too shallow of DOF, and too dark for a product shot. Does the figure lean, or is your horizon off? I'm not a fan of the cut off hands.

That was one of the most well mannered and funniest critics I've read on any photo forum ever.

In my seven years working in consumer research I never met a marketing or product manager who thought it was a good idea to have part of the product out of focus. Unless they were trying to hide something.

Luke wasn't a fan of the "cut off hands" either, but i guess daddy didnt love him!

as a star wars fan i love it, but maybe not a sharp detailed well made enough toy to photograph so close up. there is little detail to capture. isnt he a little short?

regards, john
