Default Contemplation

My first posted shot. This was taken after my wife had just received some bad news and was sitting on the porch out back. I know that sounds cruel, but I couldn't ignore the quality of light and her expressive pose (she likes it, btw ). Please critique, I welcome your ideas for improvement. -Mark

Focus is on the hand apparentely. A little work on levels may be needed. And you can work on the sharpness also. Nice catch!

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Max Ehrmann.

Nice shot, really captures the mood. Spot focusing on the eye would have given a softer look to her hand drawing more attention to the expression on her face. Of course remembering and doing everything while trying to catch a shot on the fly is easier said than done.
Comments always welcome.

agree with the others and like the slight adjustments Ordo made. You COULD use a level and add more softness to the hand to see how that works to re-direct attention away from it back to the eyes.
