Default Which angle is better

Hello everyone, recently Iíve took two photos of two taller buildings and just wonder which angle is better and are they any good at all

i think everyone will prefer the first one
the tall building shot in landscape just doesnt work, the portrait shot gives it a feeling of height

Agree with the rest -- number one by a mile. It isn't just that it allows the height to play out, but also the diagonal line from lower right to upper left makes a pleasing composition, while the landscape orientation's lines just meander in a way that doesn't add up to any kind of compositional strength. Or so ISTM.

Prefer number one, but the second picture is also interesting and depending on where it was to be displayed would decide weather it works or not.
