Default Anna Hummingbird in my backyard.

Anna Hummingbird in my backyard. It was 25F/3.8C at the time.
What can I do to improve this shot?

I think it looks pretty good. One doesn't see them just sitting still, very often! Is this a female? She must be fluffy because of the cold.

Yeah, they get fluffier than that. You should have these Anna's if your in Oregon.

Nice shot

I like the comp and very nicely exposed and sharp

I think it may be purple fringe (chromic abbrev.) but i find it quite distracting.

Just took it away

I like the shot as I do many myself BUT the big question is...What the heck is it doing in this area in these temps. I'm in Spokane and have not seen a hint of these birds at even 50 degrees...lol

Many Anna's spend the winters here in NW. They are tough little birds.

WOW, I didn't know that as I've never heard of hummers in the winter but then again I'm originally from Northern Ontario Canada and would NEVER see one of these in our winters great shots by the way on your web site
