Default Is this lens perfect?

I have a 1000mm F10 lens made by LZOS in Russia. I think that it is faultless in any optical measurement that can be made. Please let me know if you can detect any aberrations in these images that can be related to the optics of what I consider to be the best in it's class. If you check exif data, remember that this is a manual lens. It is a difficult but rewarding beast to use but I love it. The first photo is uncropped at about 25 yards. The second is about a 100% crop. Tripod was used.

Nice 'toy', I would be happy with the IQ. Shame it needs quite a lot of light

Actually, the f10 aperture is not too bad to work with. This image was made with ISO200 at 1/800 sec.

That's pretty cool, is it ok to see for focus?

It is a bit difficult to focus in dim light but not if there is a sharp edge in view. I also use it as a telescope and it provides awesome views of the moon at 125X with an 8mm eyepiece.

Default The lens used in digiscoping

This image was digiscoped through a cheap zoom eyepiece set to 24mm. The camera used was a Sony point and shoot H70. It is a crop of the original image and has had some post processing.

G'day Streets

Mighty lens you've got there

Tho the 2nd image does show extreme distortion of the Uri Geller type at the upper left ...
Suggest selling it to many a very-willing buyer on the list here

Regards, Phil

Thanks to all for your responses. Phil was the only one to badmouth the licence plate flaw so I guess he wins the free trip to Australia.

Hi Streets

Great thread. It seems you have a nice 'specialist' lens. The number plate looks quite sharp.

Had a laugh at Phil's post and your response...

And, Streets, the moon shot that you shared is GREAT! Awesome capture and exposure.

Cheers

Paul
