Default Silhouettes and sunset colours

Hi friends

A few weeks ago I went for a drive down the coast (about an hour south of Adelaide, South Australia) - to have some time to be in nature, unwind after some busy weeks (Easter where I cooked for about 40 people, high workload in my job, and having an virus end of March / early April).

The weather was just perfect for mid autumn here in Australia - it was almost 30 degrees Celsius, and the water was pleasant from a week of sun and warmth.

I visited about 5 beaches on the afternoon, and these 2 photos were taken at a beach where I watched the sun go down - and where I went for a swim.

Your comments and feedback will be appreciated!

Paul

Default Photo #2

And this photo #2, taken a short time after the previous one....

I was glad that I was ready with my camera and captured these gulls as they flew off into the sunset...

Thanks all!

I appreciate your kind comments, Wave01.

(And you're nearly up to your 1000th post. Currently (as I type) at 999!

Congrats.

Cheers TomH!

I was glad that I was at the right place at the right time for them both (and they were taken a very short time apart!)

Both have a different 'feel' - so I'm glad to know that you particularly like #1... it's a personal taste - good to get feedback on.

I really like the composition of the second one. If there were one thing I would like to be different, I wish the birds were a little more readily distinguished from the background.Perhaps that could be teased out in post.
