Scared of a handful of angry wasps, huh. Haven't been to Quartz Hill since I worked at AF Plant 42 in the fifties.

Yes, ever since some came after me at my uncle air field in Texas. You would not know the AV or plant 42 it has changed a lot in the last 20 years.

I didnt, not for me but I would not want them to end up going after my kids. Mabee next time..

I agree with Mr. Caliacajun. The Flash will trigger an attack. Better be safe than sorry. Just my thought though )

I agree with everything else that was said here.

This is a good documentary shot, it records the moment as is
The main thing that would improve this shot is the DOF. Focus in on one or two Wasps and a tiny portion of the nest with the rest outside of the DOF, hinting of the larger structure but not distracting the eye.

Better lighting with a flash or even just a reflector card would do a lot here also.
