excellent portrait, one for printing. only critique is whats already said, sharpen the eyes a little, and personally, if its possible id change the crop from a landscape orientation to more of a portrait orientation.

here is the colour version. i honestly didnt think it worked as well in colour, as black and white helped merge the hood and hat together a little better and the mixture of colours were all a bit too much for a close picture like this. hope you agree

Hey John, The B/W conversion really does work in this case. Trying to critique it is like trying to find fault with a lotus blossom.
As you have posted your color shot also, I am wondering what a selective coloring of her eyes in your first shot would do for any perceived lack of focus there? Do you know how to do that? To see the first one (B/W) with just her blue eyes colored would perhaps do the trick. I think the second one lacks the same texture as the first as now every thing seems a bit to sharp.

It is a great photograph and to try to seek a critique shows your interest to improve. Cheers.
