Thanks for your service, Chris. I may be alone in this, but critiques aside, there really is no right or wrong in photography, just your interpretation of a particular scene. I was 11B, so I understand the reasoning behind the concept of your shot. Some of us might have changed it in some minor way, but then it wouldn't be your shot anymore. Just my 2 cents.

In fact (and I hope nobody takes this as criticism), your reason for putting this pic in the critiques section was for photo stacking, not composition.
Always use tasteful words - you may have to eat them.

If you hadn't told me I wouldn't have known. And I use ICE at times, excellent free program.

It's an excellent photo in it's own right, and I got it..! If some only saw a picture of a pair of boots on the trail and dismissed it, they've never been on a long, few days on the trail, hike or been in the military.
If I mounted it and it is mount worthy, I wouldn't mention the pano unless asked.
