I would appreciate your critique on the processing.
Thanks for any feedback.

I like it.
Overall, I think it works. (Looks like a gradient fill was used for the sky.)

The subject attracts the viewer's interest, but thru the use of shadow there is only so much that they may see. (Sort of like a partial veil.)

Also, the modern art looking structure is a great add - provides interest and balance.

Thanks sdromel for taking time to critique. I playing with some vintage style of images and trying to create some presets with Aperture.

I use PSE 8 also but I prefer to stay within Aperture when possible, it's easier to process with.

Hi Mike. I like this shot. When I first saw it, before I read anything here, I thought it looked retro. You handled the color really well. The shadow is unfortunate, but works ok. Nice shot.

Thanks for commenting Robert. We were just driving home and noticed the art. I try to make it habit to always carry the NEX with the 16-50 lens just in case. Well we made a quick stop and I tried to stand her in the small shadow that the street light was making to keep the strong midday light off her face. I used the weak on board flash for a little fill and thought that the combination of the elements would make a good vintage shot. So I tried processing my first vintage shot.
Thanks for your reply. I'm glad you saw the vintage look I was trying emulate with this shot.
