Default King of the Tigers (critique version)

Hi All,
I shot this one on a cold winter morning as he laid on a high platform gazing majestically over the other animals. the overcast sky behind him gave me a blanket of white as good as any studio backdrop i could have wished for. converting it to black and white was a decision made to bring out the features and shadows and relieve the sky of any hint of colour.

i hope you like it.
John

Stunning view of a big cat! I think I'd like to see a little deeper DOF as it appears his nose is the focus point and the sharpness falls off before you get to his eyes. Or maybe that's just an illusion from the dark lines in his fur.

Framing is nice and conversion works well. Not sure if it's resizing issue but the eyes, the most critical part, do not appear to be in focus.

Very beautiful, and right decision too (B/W)! You have given me something to try my hand at sketching, which I like to do occasionally, thanks for that!

Does seem to have lost something in the conversion sadly. The eyes are in focus on the original but it was quite far away so light was a bit of an issue what with the overcast sky. All in all though I'm very happy with it myself. Thank you all for your feedback, much appreciated

Regards
John.

I like it and can't think of anything to add that would make it any better.
