Default Family Photo Shoot

Did a shoot with my grandkids today. Opinions are welcome as I'm still learning my pp software.

They're good.

Such serious looks on nearly everyone's face though. (I remember sports in high school. All the coaches were ex-marine and we athletes were disciplined never to smile.)

I like the lighting you have used. If you used a flash it turned out much better than I would have done when I use a flash. And your depth of field is spot on.

No flash just natural light. I really paid attention to my AP settings.

Lighting and PP look perfect! The only improvements I could suggest are in the compositions:
#1: Background (blue shirt) is a bit distracting. I would also have preferred if those beautiful eyes were looking at the camera.
#3: Again, the background is distracting more because elements of it are uninteresting (i.e. a barbed wire fence). I would either blur out the background or select a background that was a little more pleasing to the eye. On the subject of eyes, looks like 3 out of the four are looking in different directions...again, a little distracting to me....just my 2 cents!

The mother picked the blue shirts, wouldn't be my choice either. Yes I need to work on composition, getting them all to look at me proved to be a challenge. lol Thank you for your feed back.

Jehan[QUOTE] That Blue shirt is lavender. Have you ever been checked for color blindness?

Good set of portraits, #1 could use a different background.

Streets: Nothing wrong with my eyes: I was referring to the shirt in the background--not what the little girl has on. And it wasn't that the shirt in the background was blue..the background itself looks distracting to me.
