I don't comment very often on others photos but I have see many many photos of ornithological creatures but what I like about these is they are very natural looking.

Many of the ones I see are either over sharpened or over contrast.

These photos make the bird look very natural. The only question I have is it appears to me (and I must tell you I am color blind) that there is a yellow cast over the photo. Again I could be way off but beside that I really appreciate the photo.

@dlg - These where shot in morning sun coming through trees (muted sunlight) against my lawn. This one is from MUCH later in the day at a slightly lower angle. See what you think.

Good shots of the bird. Too bad you couldn't have had a different color for the background. Something that would have let the bird really stand out.
