Default Male Anna Hummer in my yard

Got this Male Anna Hummingbird in my yard today. I love the colors of the Anna's. Lighting was just right so colors popped. I used flash to bring out the catch-eye.
Nikon D7100 / Nikkor 80-400mm / SB800 flash
ISO 1000 - 1250 shutter speed - F/8 - fill flash - @360mm

Great shot and bokeh and for such a tiny bird, you've got in really close, lots of detail in the plumage and the colors pop... Well done

Since you posted this in the Photo Critiques section, let me offer my opinion:

The image is blurry and the colors are oversaturated. There's also a halo around the bird which suggests some severe post processing.

Blurry??? Maybe it was when I cropped it from 3000x2400 to 1200x960 caused that? Or maybe it is the ISO 1000 I used?
Here is 100% crop of full size:

You said: The image is blurry and the colors are oversaturated.
Maybe I overdid the "curves" so I redid original without curves then cropped to 1200x960.

Thanks for your input.

Color rendition looks better Jack. The original image at 100% definitely shows a lack of sharpness either due to soft characteristics of the lens of blurriness caused by camera shake. The high ISO is adding a lot of graininess to the image as well. The edited image looks like it has noise reduction applied which eliminates the graininess. Overall, I like it much better.

Jehan

I recommend a few passes of sharpening (the bird only) to bring out the detail in the feathers.

Thanks Jehan. Can't be camera shake as I had it on 1250 shutter speed, with F/8 and used flash... so it's either the ISO setting of 1000 and/or lens is not sharp at 360mm... the Nikkor 80-400mm VR as a reputation of not being as sharp between 300mm-400mm if I'm correct?

I believe image files get corrupted when uploaded to this site. The blurriness is more likely that than what was shot. Its an amazing shot. Well done.

I reread the comments by wingman regarding, blurry image, oversaturation of colors and halo around the head. Sorry but I dont see any of that. What might be mistaken as halo is the background light, particularly on the left side. Ive already commented on the blurriness (if any). As for the saturation, well the bird is brightly colored and all looks "normal" to me.
