Default A new program

I don't know how long this app. has existed, but it's claimed that it gives images the impression of being woodblocks. It doesn't give me quite that impression, but nonetheless it seems very easy to use, and I think it's interesting enough that I'm planning buy it. It's called Moku Hanga.

I haven't (yet?) been able to run it under Linux but it works fine under Windows 7.

Here's a small sample of one of the pictures -

Well, it's a month since I got interested in the Moku Hanga app. and I have to say that my initial enthusiasm has mostly evaporated.

To really look like a " Wood Block" picture it needs to be either a print made from the artist's hand carved wooden blocks, or an accurate photograph of such a print. At least that's how I feel about it.

Try using that on a photo of a dog or a cat. The effect looks good on the fur. By the way, in my opinion, the effect on the pic turns one for the rubbish can into almost a wall hanger.

The effect is remindful of a genera often used with generic Christmas, sympathy and generic greeting card(s).

Seems to me it would work well for that at least.

The effect is quite nice and I can see some uses for it (not many though) but the reality is that it’s just a cheap digital copy of a style of true art that, albeit a printing process, has been around since the 8th Century.

Default Moku Hanga

Bynx - I've tried Moku Hanga on several dog pictures and it certainly works on fur - and I think the shaggier the better -
