Default Easter Portrait, Mom & Daughter

While I'm deciding which way to go with choosing a new software for my processing I'm temporarily using what apple is currently offering. I tried using one of their filters for this one. I didn't quite like the way it came out so I started from the filter and processed it to where it is now. It's different, don't know if I like it or not yet. It has a similar look as the cross processing that I used to get in curves. Kind of retro.

Your thoughts?

Keeping the critic aside the natural happiness of the image looks great!

Well, it does have that greenish cast sometimes seen on old prints, so, yes, retro look, but it doesn't seem to me to be very flattering to the subjects.

Retro look meaning its an old photo that has faded color dyes with age and looks like crap. Well if thats what you want. But Id recommend going for a good photo instead.

Thanks for your opinions. I get it.

Bynx, I like your re-do.

Here's the original. It's processed the way I usually do things.

It kinda has a vintage look to it without turning it green. I should have just left it as it was.

Mike, I have to say I agree with DSP121, the expressions and looks of pure joy are great, but I'm not crazy about the processing. I like Paul's rendition, and I like your original better than your processed image. At least you are brave enough to put stuff out there, and ask for critiques. To save myself, I have to say that 99.9% of your photos are beautiful.Okay, I'll shut up now.

Thanks Robert.

I kind of expected that the photographers on the forum wouldn't care for it.

I appreciate your feedback.
