Default The nursery rhyme talks about 'an old gum tree' but one wasn't available

G'day all

Aussie Kookaburras mostly habit gum trees and any other place above the world below

These two - probably a him 'n her pair - have perched on this bit of power line each sundown recently, cackling away merrily - so I took advantage of the day's last light and against heavy cloud

Love this photo -- crisp and clear. And the white on their heads and powerline pop against the stormy sky.

Beaut to hear from you - yes I like it too ... taken in late afternoon gave it that slight colour change as well
