Took the piccies with a pentax optio 30.

Made the montage (contact sheet) with Fotoslatethat comes free with the Optio.

I like this - wish I could offer a more "in depth" opinion but it's hard to comment on the photos. I think this has to be seen live to be fully appreciated. Good example.

I'm thinking about using the Optio's "stitch assist" feature to take landscapes and action shots where one photo basically runs into the next one.

Then I could use the Fotoslate software, which is really meant to be used to create "contact sheets", to arrange these photos so that there is a border between each photo, yet each photo runs into the next one.

For instance,I took the picture of the cross country skier, third row from the top,before she was entering the forest, and then another shot as she was entering theforest (I did not use stitch assist).

Putting thephotos side by side createsa little bit of movement between the frames sort of like two frames of a movie.

In some ways, it reminds me of a cheap gimmick. Sort of "artsy" with nothing to back it up.

However, I'm still interested in the concept. I think I will play withthe technique a little more.
